Research and fieldwork

Without high-quality investigations, there is no reliable geotechnical design. Site investigation and fieldwork are the first and most critical step of every project – the accuracy of the geotechnical model, and thus the stability of the future structure, depends on them.

In this phase, we define the key properties of the rock mass, including discontinuity characteristics, in-situ stress conditions, pore pressures and exposure to weathering and other environmental factors.

What are we doing in the field?

Development of site investigation programs and projects

Field data collection from borehole cores and exposed rock faces (slopes, tunnel faces, outcrops, exploration shafts, galleries and other excavations)

Detailed geotechnical analysis of deep boreholes (with or without oriented core)
